Palm Sunday

Join us for the commemoration of our Lord’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem, the distribution of palms, and the proclamation of the Passion Narrative.

Mass of Chrism

The Mass of Chrism is the annual gathering of the Bishop, priests and people from across the diocese.  As this Mass our priests renew their promises made to the Bishop at ordination and the sacramental oils used for various purposes are blessed.  It is held at the Basilica Cathedral of Christ the King in Hamilton and all are invited.  Get there early as the Basilica fills quickly.

Holy Thursday

The Mass of the Lord’s Supper commemorates of the institution of the Eucharist and the washing of the feet.  At the conclusion of this Mass, the Blessed Sacrament is removed from the tabernacle to a place of reposition.

– Thursday April 2 – 8:00pm Mass with washing of the Feet – Fr. Higgins 

  • Thursday April 2 – 9:00pm – 11:00pm – Exposition and Simple Reposition of the Blessed Eucharist

Good Friday

Commemoration of the Lord’s Passion.  This liturgy features the traditional reading of the Passion narrative, solemn prayers for the Church and the world as well as the veneration of the Cross.

Blessing of Easter Food

Bring your Easter baskets to the Church for the traditional Blessing of Easter Food.  The children will be invited to assist our priest as he offers blessings and prayers for our Easter goodies.

Easter Masses

Easter Vigil

Join us for this the first of our joyful celebrations of the resurrection of our Lord. The Vigil Mass begins with the lighting of the Easter Candle at the entrance to the Church, the procession and ceremony of light, our renewal of baptismal promises, the proclamation of readings recalling God’s mighty deeds for his people throughout salvation history. All this is followed by the celebration of the Eucharist. (Please note: attendance at the Easter Vigil satisfies your obligation to attend Sunday Mass and incense may be used at this celebration)
