Thanks to a donation from our Knights of Columbus Council 4916, Saint Gregory the Great Parish is pleased to announce that a parish subscription to FORMED is now available to our parishioners.
This subscription is provided completely free of charge.
What is Formed.org?
FORMED is the preeminent Catholic online platform serving Catholic parishes and individuals across North America. This “Catholic version of Netflix” can be streamed to your personal computer, tablet, TV or mobile device and contains some of the best Catholic content there is – video series, movies, books and study programs – all to help you grow in your faith, find deeper peace with God, and share what you believe with others.
With FORMED you’ll find video programs that explain the Catholic faith, explore the deepest meaning of marriage, receive Bible studies on a variety of topics and includes inspiring audio talks. And you’ll find presenters like Dr. Tim Gray, Dr. Edward Sri, Dr. Mary Healey, Chris Stefanick, Dr. Scott Hahn, Bishop Robert Barron and a lot more. There are great classic movies, Lectio Divina, Devotional programs, ebooks which can be downloaded to your e-reader and content created specifically for children & teens. You will also find content in the Spanish language. This is all part of our parish subscription. It truly is the Catholic faith – on demand.
Who can access formed.org?
All parishioners of Saint Gregory the Great Parish and our parish school communities can access the content available on FORMED. Creating an account is easy – simply follow these steps:
- Go to http://formed.org
- Click on Sign Up found in the top right hand corner of the formed welcome page
Click on “I belong to a parish organization” - A search dialog will appear, asking you for the name of your parish. Type “Saint Gregory the Great Cambridge” and choose us from the list that appears.
- Enter your name and email address into the dialog boxes.
- Enjoy!
Can FORMED be accessed from other devices?
Absolutely! You can access formed.org from IOS and Android phones and tablets. You will find apps on the Apple App Store (IOS) and Google Playstore (Android.) You can also access formed.org from Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, XBOX, and Chromecast among others.
Who is FORMED?
FORMED is part of the Augustine Institute – the same people who bring us Lighthouse Catholic Media. Our parish has made Lighthouse books, DVDs, Audio CDs and books available for several years from kiosks located in our atrium and narthex. The Augustine Institute exists to help Catholics better understand, live and share their faith. The Augustine Institute creates innovative and engaging materials that help all Catholics deepen their relationship with God and His Church to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
