First Reconciliation, coming to the Lord to say I am sorry for the first time and receiving God’s forgiveness, is a very important sacrament and step in the life of a young Catholic.
We have worked with our school children in their classrooms introducing them to the principals of spiritual forgiveness and preparing them to receive this sacrament. The sacrament will be offered on Saturday mornings at 10:00am beginning on Saturday February 12 and concluding on Saturday April 16. When the parents have determined that the child(ren) is ready to make their First Reconciliation, they should be brought to the church on a Saturday morning. There is no need to make a reservation.
Let us all pray for our young children as they take this important step in their young spiritual lives and continue in their preparation for First Communion several months away.
